   George Humphrey is currently one of Ireland’s foremost practising maths teacher and maths textbook authors.

He is author of the maths textbook series ‘Concise Mathematics 1-5’ (Gill & MacMillan). His revision books in the ‘Less Stress More Success’ range (Gill & MacMillian) have proven to be hugely popular and effective aids for students preparing for maths exams at all levels.

Since 1982 George has been a very active member of the 'Irish Maths Teachers Association' and on 3 occasions was the chairman of the association.

George organises courses, in his own school - St. Andrews College, Dublin - for teachers of Leaving Certificate Higher Level Maths and Higher Level Applied Maths.

George also lectures each week in the School of Education, Trinity College, Dublin, where he teaches maths teachers how to teach maths. He runs revision seminars for students of Leaving and Junior Certificate Maths all over Ireland, (see: www.educationworkshop.ie).

George graduated from Trinity College, Dublin with an honours degree and with an honour Higher Diploma in Education.
