Minjo Gallagher has over thirty years teaching experience, twenty five of which have been spent in Special Education in the Primary School sector.
Minjo taught in St. Brigid’s Special School in Dundalk for 5 years before moving to her current position as S.E.T. in St. Mary’s N.S. Knockbridge where she holds a post of responsibility for Special Education.
Minjo was among the first eight teachers to train in the highly effective Reading Recovery Programme in Ireland. She has introduced a paired reading programme and because of its success has introduced this programme into two other local schools.
Minjo has also participated in the Pushkin Awards - Special Ed. Section- with prize winners on each of the three consecutive years of entry.
