It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of Arthur Sealy, on 22 December 2011.
We extend our sincere sympathies to Arthur's family and friends, may he rest in peace.
Arthur Sealy was a teacher of music at Mountmellick Community School, a native of Waterford and a graduate of UCD (BA, BMus) and TCD (HDipEd, MPhil). He had a wide range of experiences teaching curriculum music at second level.
His Leaving Cert. music coursebooks, Soundscapes: The Prescribed Works, Group A (2005) and Soundscapes: The Prescribed Works, Group B (2006) continue to be used by thousands of students and teachers around the country. He also wrote and produced 'Order and disOrder', a DVD resource for Irish schools in which Raymond Deane’s Seachanges (with danse macabre) is performed, analyzed and discussed.
