Clodagh Holahan

Clodagh Holahan ANCAD Dip. A. S. Ed. was head of the Art Department in St. Brigid’s College, Callan, Co. Kilkenny where she taught the Junior and Leaving Certificate for many years. She held prominent positions in the ATAI (including President, Secretary and PR Officer). She was seconded by the Department of Education in Ireland to help devise and present the New Junior Certificate in Art Craft Design. Together with her colleague Maureen Roche she wrote the Art Craft Design book, which was published by Gill and Macmillan and sold worldwide, though it was originally written for the Irish Junior Certificate. And she also co-authored Shortcut to Success, Art Craft Design Project Guide Junior Certificate. She has taught in an International School in Germany. She was an Art Examiner in Ireland and is now a senior Visual Arts Examiner with the International Baccalaureate. Clodagh is also a practicing artist as well as an author and teacher and has exhibited her paintings and sculptures in many Art exhibitions in Europe the main ones in Ireland being the RHA, RUA and the Oireachtas Art exhibitions. Presently she is preparing to take part in several group Art exhibitions in Australia.
